VerifiedADU (“the Site”) is a directory of licensed ADU contractors in California, operated by David, native of Sacramento, California. Our website address is https://verifiedadu.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Contact form submissions: When you submit a form on our Site (such as the contact form or quote request form), we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, and message content.
• Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data, including pages visited, time on site, referring source, device type, and general geographic location (city/region level). This data does not personally identify you.
• Cookies: We use cookies necessary for site functionality (such as caching and session management). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. See Section 5 for details.
• Server logs: Our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically collects server access logs, which include your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. These logs are used for security and performance monitoring.

We do not collect financial information, Social Security numbers, or sensitive personal data through the Site.

• California Contractors State License Board (CSLB): We retrieve publicly available contractor license data from the CSLB to verify contractor credentials. We do not transmit your personal data to the CSLB.

We do not use social media tracking pixels, retargeting services, or advertising networks.

5. Cookies

The Site uses the following types of cookies:

• Functional cookies: Required for the Site to operate correctly, including caching and session management. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies.

We retain data as follows:

• Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 24 months, then deleted
• Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics according to their data retention settings (14 months by default)
• Server logs: Retained by our hosting provider according to their data retention policies

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal data we collect about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of the sale of your personal data (we do not sell personal data)
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
