List Your Business on VerifiedADU
VerifiedADU connects verified ADU builders with homeowners in California who are actively planning to build. Every listing on our directory is backed by daily CSLB verification, giving homeowners confidence in the contractors they find here.
What Is VerifiedADU
VerifiedADU is a curated directory of ADU contractors who have passed our five-point verification process. We connect Sacramento-area homeowners with builders who hold active licenses, carry proper insurance, maintain clean records, and specialize in accessory dwelling units.
Unlike lead-generation platforms that sell the same lead to multiple contractors, VerifiedADU is a searchable directory where homeowners find you directly. Your profile includes your verification status, license details, service areas, and contact information.
What “Verified” Means
Every builder on VerifiedADU meets five standards before being listed. We check each standard before approval and monitor them continuously:
| Standard | What We Check | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Active License | Current contractor license via CSLB | Only licensed contractors can legally build ADUs in California |
| Contractor Bond | Active bond on file with CSLB | Protects homeowners if contractor fails to complete work |
| Workers’ Compensation | Active workers’ comp insurance | Protects homeowners from liability if worker is injured |
| Clean Record | No unresolved complaints or disciplinary actions | Shows track record of professional conduct |
| License Class | B (General Building) or C (appropriate specialty) | Ensures contractor is legally authorized for the scope of work |
We monitor these standards daily. If a builder’s license lapses, bond expires, or complaint is filed, they are removed from the directory until the issue is resolved.

No Exceptions to Verification Standards
We do not list contractors who fail to meet any of the five verification standards—even temporarily. If your license lapses, bond expires, or a complaint is filed, your listing is removed immediately until the issue is resolved.
This policy protects homeowners and maintains the integrity of the directory. If you’re removed, we’ll notify you by email and explain what needs to be corrected. Once the issue is resolved, you can be re-listed.
